LEARN MORE ABOUT MIA

Mia is a North Carolina native, born and raised in Chapel Hill. She is an avid hiker, runner, yoga student, and all-around outdoor enthusiast.

Early in the pandemic, following an unfortunate hamstring injury, she developed a profound appreciation for her at-home yoga practice. With curiosity as her guiding principle, Mia delved into a wide range of online yoga resources before transitioning to in-person instruction. It was at Franklin Street Yoga Center that she discovered a welcoming community and embarked on her 200-hour teacher training journey at the beginning of 2023.

In Mia’s gentle classes, you can anticipate a nourishing slow flow that incorporates breathwork, gentle stretching, extended poses, and low-intensity fluid movements. Her classes place a central emphasis on fostering curiosity and establishing a strong mind-body-breath connection. All students are welcome, and you can expect a practice that aids in stress relief, increases flexibility, and enhances mindfulness.
