Desiree has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for over two decades, when she randomly tried a yoga class at a fitness center and felt the power of connecting her mind, body, and heart in one space. Since that time, yoga has driven her path of personal growth which includes a regular mindfulness practice. As the meaning of yoga in her life has grown, it has also influenced her professional work, where she trains educators in mindfulness-based programming for adolescents. Her yoga teacher training in 2022 deepened her own practice and sparked a desire to share the broader meaning of yoga with others.

Desiree’s approach to teaching yoga is designed to promote self-discovery of the strength and goodness within each of us. She emphasizes the importance of tuning in to ourselves and what we each need from our practice. Desiree’s classes invite a sense of playfulness and exploration of both flexibility and strength within flowing sequences.
