Parking at 431 W. Franklin St. The Courtyard

The Courtyard parking lot is a township parking lot Monday-Saturday 8:00am-8:00pm.  It is $1.50 per hour. The meter takes coins and credit cards.  You can also use and pay for parking on your cell phone.  Our zone is 3624.  The lot next to the Lantern is also a township lot in case our lot is full.

Directions: We moved to the Courtyard.  We are next to Vimala’s Curryblossom Cafe and behind Kipos Greek Taverna.  Our entrance is on the back of building facing the parking lot.  If you are traveling west on Franklin St. you will pass by McDonald’s, the Lantern restaurant and then you will see the Courtyard on the left.  Turn left onto S. Roberson Street and there is a parking lot. If you get to S. Graham Street you have gone too far. If coming from Carrboro, you will pass by Papa John’s and the Chapel Hill Visitor’s Center. Turn right onto S. Roberson. If you get to McDonald’s you have gone too far.

Considering our Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga teacher training?

Our 2016 teacher training dates are posted under Teacher Training.

Yoga teacher training with Lori at Franklin Street Yoga Center was a transformative experience for me. I was able to connect with the community and share myself, my love, and my journey through the practice of yoga. The training helped me recommit to taking responsibility for my own physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health. Lori’s kindness, honesty, and humor is a testimonial to her commitment to mentoring our practice and exploration as teachers. Kelty Bailey

Teacher training with Lori was a truly transformational experience. Not only did it deepen and strengthen my practice (as one might expect), but it also deepened and strengthened my confidence in myself off the mat and outside of the studio. I was challenged in a nurturing and supportive way by Lori and by my fellow students. There was a ton of laughter, plenty of sweat and a few good tears. It is easily the best money I have ever spent in my life. My only regret is that it had to end. Shelli Rice
