The teacher training program that I have created at FSYC is based on every teacher training, workshop, and class I have participated in since 1997. From the history of yoga in India and the United States to the alignment of poses, breathwork, and meditation. If you want to deepen your knowledge about yoga and if you want to learn how to teach, this is the program for you.
The skills that you will learn will help you not only as a yoga student but as a human being navigating life in a more effective way. Being in front of people in general takes confidence and I will provide a path for you that whether you go on to teach yoga or you are interviewing for a job or going on a first date – that will give you a strong foundation for how you show up for your life. The Courtyard parking lot is a township parking lot Monday-Saturday 8:00am-8:00pm. It is $1.50 per hour. The meter takes coins and credit cards. You can also use park.mobile and pay for parking on your cell phone. Our zone is 3624. The lot next to the Lantern is also a township lot in case our lot is full.
Directions: We moved to the Courtyard. We are next to Vimala’s Curryblossom Cafe and behind Kipos Greek Taverna. Our entrance is on the back of building facing the parking lot. If you are traveling west on Franklin St. you will pass by McDonald’s, the Lantern restaurant and then you will see the Courtyard on the left. Turn left onto S. Roberson Street and there is a parking lot. If you get to S. Graham Street you have gone too far. If coming from Carrboro, you will pass by Papa John’s and the Chapel Hill Visitor’s Center.
