LEARN MORE ABOUT CLAIRE

Claire’s yoga journey began in 2021 after a mental health crisis. Growing up as a competitive dancer, she was used to being surrounded by mirrors and using movement as a comparison to other dancers. When her mental health forced her to slow down and build her life back from the ground up, Claire found Franklin Street Yoga as a safe haven. Developing a consistent practice proved crucial to healing her relationship with movement in a welcoming and supportive way. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Franklin Street Yoga in April of 2025 and is thrilled to grow her role in the FSYC community.

In Claire’s classes, you can anticipate an invigorating asana practice that encourages you to connect back to your breath and body in a way that works for you on any given day. Her classes emphasize self-compassion and a deep appreciation for how our bodies communicate with us and tell us what they need. Claire loves creative balance sequences and finding playful ways to build strength and curiosity.

Claire is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and now lives in Carrboro. Outside of work and yoga, you can find her reading, enjoying the outdoors, and walking shelter dogs at Orange County Animal Services.
