I was first introduced to yoga at my ballet studio, where yoga for dancers was offered as cross-training. I loved the concept of syncing movement with breath work and was amazed at how yoga could be both challenging and restorative. After graduating high school, I began practicing at Franklin Street Yoga with my mom and have been part of the FSY community ever since! Yoga is a tradition that has been passed down in my family for generations, so I am very excited to share this part of me through teaching.
As a classically trained dancer and ballet instructor, I love bringing creativity and a sense of choreography into my vinyasa flow.
I also do work in women’s health and have a special interest in prenatal yoga. I do clinical research at UNC Labor and Delivery, and my experience working and shadowing providers there has continued to inform and inspire my yoga practice.
Outside the studio, I am a sophomore at UNC double majoring in Biology and English. I work as a medical assistant at a children’s clinic and write for The Daily Tar Heel. In my free time, you’ll find me at basketball games with friends or outside doing headstands in the quad!
