LEARN MORE ABOUT EMILIE
After years of dabbling in yoga, Emilie found more consistency and a deeper meaning in her practice at the start of the pandemic when she found herself stuck inside and in need of healing. Her practice has since allowed her to interact with more kindness and laughter in the world by helping her cultivate vulnerability, physical and mental strength, and deep joy. As a school teacher, these are all traits she hopes to nurture in her students as she seeks to see and honor their humanity. After a spur of the moment attempt to teach a yoga class to her students turned into them challenging her to a break dance competition, Emilie decided to pursue a yoga teacher certification to deepen her own practice and learn how to make it more accessible for others. In 2023, she returned to Franklin St. Yoga Studio where she first fell in love with yoga to complete her 200-hour teacher certification.
Emilie enjoys creative and playful sequences that incorporate strength, flexibility, and balances. She believes in the power of community coming together to foster collective well-being and hopes to hold space for this in her classes.
