LEARN MORE ABOUT AMY
Amy Thomson has been a dedicated yoga student since 2000 and a teacher since 2014. She has studied with Missy Kerner, Christine Ojala, Wynn Fricke, and Lori Hernandez, whose guidance has been central to her growth, knowledge, and development as a yoga instructor.
Amy began teaching at Franklin Street Yoga Center in 2019 and is grateful to be part of its vibrant community.
Her yoga journey has been expansive and deeply personal. With a background in modern dance from Minneapolis, Minnesota, she brings a strong appreciation for mindful movement and encourages students to move at their own pace while listening closely to their bodies. Her classes emphasize body awareness, creative sequencing, and self-acceptance.
Yoga and meditation also played an important role in her recovery from a traumatic brain injury in 2023, deepening both her practice and her appreciation for the healing potential of these disciplines. She is honored to share this work and continue growing alongside her students.
