Class Descriptions

We invite you to take a journey towards self-discovery with us as we honor and embrace the uniqueness of each person who comes to practice at our studio. Our vinyasa style classes are vigorously flowing sequences that torch calories, tone your body and relax your mind. These classes are influenced by Ashtanga principles and depending on the individual teacher and their yoga lineage may include chanting, breath work, and meditation.

Each teacher will offer an adaptation of traditional yoga poses creating a flowing meditation of constant motion, a dynamic combination of strength, sweat and spirituality -- for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. We offer the challenge to each individual to experience transformation while working at your own level of ability.

Our classes are taught in a heated room to further help cleanse the body and warm the muscles.

Intro Series:
Designed for beginners or students new to Vinyasa yoga. This is a perfect opportunity to learn the basics and get a solid foundation so you will feel confident attending any of our classes at FSYC. You can also drop-in to take a class for the current class drop-in fee.

In this 6 week Intro Series, you will learn the basics of vinyasa (flow) yoga, alignment, stretching, standing and seated postures, as well as breathing techniques. Each class progressively builds on the previous one, preparing most students to move on to the basics or all levels classes.

Many people enjoy taking the Intro Series in order to soak up all the information and apply the knowledge to their practice. You will begin to experience some of the benefits that can arise from practicing yoga such as increased flexibility, strength, cardiovascular health as well as a sense of well being and relaxed awareness. This is a slow paced class in which you develop skills for an ongoing safe, effective yoga practice. An excellent introduction for students rehabilitating from past injuries or with limited exercise experience.

The six-week session costs $70 and you receive a free yoga mat. First Class Free cannot be used for this class. This is a series of classes.

All Levels:
Our all levels classes are for the experienced beginner to advanced practitioners. An energetic and challenging practice where postures are linked in a flowing sequence incorporating the breath offering the student room to take more advanced or relaxed pose variations. We do recommend 10+ vinyasa classes before taking our all levels classes.
